The Inspiring a Culture of Philanthropy (ICP) Project ran from 2014 to 2018 and worked with museums across the Hampshire Solent region. The aim of the project was to create a step change in the way the sector engaged with donors and raise awareness of museums to a wider group of donors. This was achieved through a programme of training, workshops, mentoring, peer learning, bursaries, in-house training, showcases and donor networking events. 24 museums were directly supported by the project working in three cohorts. There were also opportunities for the heritage sector in the wider South region to engage with and learn from the project. ICP was one of nine projects around the UK funded by the Heritage Lottery Fund's Catalyst Programme and was delivered by an Umbrella Partnership between Hampshire Cultural Trust and Southampton City Council.

The project was externally evaluated by Consilium Research and Consulting. Attached is the evaluation report produced in June 2018. The report concludes that the ICP programme has successfully achieved its stated aims and objectives and gives six key recommendations for further action and sector support.
