Petersfield Museum

Located in Petersfield’s Old Courthouse close to the centre of the town and in the heart of the South Downs National Park, Petersfield Museum tells the story of this Hampshire market town, its people and the surrounding landscape through a series of ‘pathways into the past’.

Learning and engagement activities, including workshops, events and volunteering together with exhibitions by local artists and craftspeople connect with a large audience.

An ongoing project will reunite the town’s Victorian Police Station, Courthouse, exercise yard and stable block to create an holistic heritage experience that unifies the museum, gallery and archive on a single site and see the Museum become a focus for community cultural activities and a hub for visitors to the National Park.
