The Classic Boat Museum
The Classic Boat Museum’s collection of over 50 boats has recently been moved from their former East Cowes premises to a large new site across the River Medina in Cowes. These new premises are not yet open to the general public, but our volunteers will be working hard during the summer to prepare new displays. We are sorry for any disappointment of our visitors in not being able to view the boats at present – we are still collecting the rare and the unusual, and planning further events.
Meanwhile, however, the Gallery section of the Museum is still open in East Cowes and is still presenting its amazing collection of models, film, trophies, photos, books and other items which surprise all our visitors by the range and variety of what we have collected of yachting history, both local and internationally. Bookshop and coffee shop.
The museum is a registered charity that relies on the goodwill and support of volunteers and generous donors. If you would like to help continue to preserve our maritime heritage, please contact us at the email address below.
THE CLASSIC BOAT GALLERY IS OPEN for models, photographs and artefacts.
THE BOAT COLLECTION IS NOT ACCESSIBLE BUT WILL BE AVAILABLE AGAIN SOON
