Fundraising from Corporates: Corporate social responsibility and sponsorship
This training session will cover fundraising from corporates including the different ways that corporates give, their reasons for giving and how to engage with them. This session was run as part of the project last year and is being offered again to enable those who were not part of the project at the time or were not able to attend, an opportunity to learn more about this topic.
The key areas covered by this training are:
- Ensure that participants understand the different strands of corporate fundraising and sponsorship activity, and the financial implications of each
- Give participants the confidence, and tools, to develop partnerships with corporates and communicate with them in an appropriate manner (including issues related to Ethical Fundraising);
- Give participants the opportunity to consider corporate prospects relevant to their own organisation, and start to plan an approach to them.
The training session will include an Introduction to the corporate fundraising; the financial context; researching corporates; matching brands; presenting, negotiating with and influencing corporates; how to seal the deal; and manage delivery.
About the presenter:
The training will be delivered by Michelle Wright, who as well as delivering extensive training for the Arts Fundraising & Philanthropy Programme is CEO of Cause4, with experience of leading on major Corporate relationships on behalf of a range of cultural clients including the National Gallery, English National Opera and Ageas Salisbury International Arts Festival.
